Mechanical Engineer
Xalten Systems, a forward-thinking technology company, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join
our team. We specialise in developing cutting-edge solutions that address complex challenges
across various industries and the defence sector. Our focus lies in creating groundbreaking
products in the domains of robotics and sensor systems.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical components and systems for new
products.
- Optimise designs for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and
performance.
- Apply GD&T principles to ensure precise tolerances and proper fit.
- Create detailed manufacturing drawings and engineering
documentation.
- Conduct FEA/CAE simulations to validate design performance and
reliability (if applicable).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, production,
quality) to ensure seamless product launches.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related
field.
- 2+ years of experience in product design and development.
- Proficient in CAD software (Autodesk Inventor or similar).
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining,
injection moulding, sheet metal fabrication).
- Excellent knowledge of GD&T principles.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Experience with FEA/CAE tools is a significant advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Additional Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of Programming languages Python.
- Experience with the development of pressure-tolerant systems for
marine applications is desirable.
